Islands
The City of Brockville is the only municipality that owns islands in the world famous 1000 Islands region. These islands are available to the public and can be accessed by personal watercraft. During the summer season, docking is available for day use and overnight mooring, and a number of islands have campsites that can be booked in advance.
Boating to the Islands
City of Brockville Islands can be accessed by personal watercraft during the boating season (mid May to mid October). There is a fee for docking your boat on the islands, and mooring slips must be booked in advance. If you plan to boat regularly, a seasonal mooring pass is likely more economical.
Public boat ramps are available in Brockville for launching your boat, located at the base of both Home Street and Henry Street. Boat trailer parking is available in the gravel lot at the south end of Kincaid Street. Please look for the parking meter to purchase a parking pass for the length of your visit.
A number of city islands have paddle up sites suitable for canoes or kayaks. Please check the map to find the best locations to access the islands by kayak. A kayak launch area is available in St. Lawrence Park on the southwest corner of the park.

Camping on the Islands
Camping is permitted in designated sites on the City Islands. Sites must be booked in advance through our online reservation system. Reservations can be made up to one week in advance. Visit our Camping page for more information about camping on City Islands.
The 2023 camping season will open on May 19th, with bookings opening through our online campsite reservation system on May 12th.
A limited number of seasonal campsites are available, allocated through an annual Seasonal Island Camping lottery.
